At last, the allies shot out of the tunnel and, as expected, the same demonic Messerschmitt was still in hot pursuit. The fighter plane wasn’t firing on the engines anymore, but they couldn’t be complacent until they reached their final destination. Soon, Edward saw a beautiful sight. Up ahead, the battle-scarred station of Vicarstown came into view. And just beyond that was the Walney Channel Bridge, the last vestige of hope before Barrow-in-Furness station. If the cavalcade could make it, the anti-aircraft guns would do the rest. The two allies were nearly out of breath and steam but they had to keep going no matter what. The Messerschmitt suddenly shot up into the sky just as the cavalcade thundered into Vicarstown. As they approached the station, the fighter plane was nowhere in sight.

"The Messerschmitt’s buggered off!" Edward’s driver shouted as he searched the cloudy skies.
"Must’ve run out of ammo!" the fireman determined.
"Good enough for me!" Edward snorted.
"Too right, old cha-" Gordon suddenly stopped. The Messerschmitt suddenly reappeared from beyond the clouds along with several more!
"Oh, you gotta be taking the piss!" Edward’s driver choked on his disbelief. "The bastard’s got friends!"
"It’s a trap! RETREAT!" Edward’s fireman shouted. The driver shut off steam and slammed on the brakes. Edward’s brake blocks shrieked, kicking up a shower of sparks against his wheels. Gordon shut his eyes as his driver slammed hard on the brakes. He tried to stop but the momentum from the vans surging from behind kept pushing him along. Then, Gordon opened his eyes to a horrifying sight!
"OH SHIT, THEY’RE GONNA TAKE OUT THE BRIDGE!" Gordon gasped in horror as a pair of Messerschmitts unleashed a barrage of rockets at the bridge!
"STOP THE BLOODY TRAIN!!!" Edward screamed with his last breath.
